Sunset from the deck

Escape from the hectic pace of everyday to a peaceful retreat on the shores of St. George’s Bay. This well appointed waterfront cottage nestled a top a beautiful cape features a panoramic west view towards Cape George and sunsets that will melt away the stress. A great place to unwind with family or rekindle romance.

Capeblue beach

Just a few steps through the trees to Cape Blue beach where you can relax and listen to the waves lapping on the shore. Explore the unusual blue rock outcrop or sit at the top of the cape and watch the sailboats go by. A short walk to the north is Cape Jack beach with a lovely sand bottom just beyond the gravel shore. Both are excellent swimming beaches in an area touted as having the "warmest waters north of the Carolinas" and more often than not you have them to yourself. Keep an eye out there is wildlife all around. It’s not unusual to see bald eagles, pelicans or deer.

Outside of cottage

This two bedroom cottage is able to accomodate a family very comfortably and has everything you’ll need to make your stay an enjoyable one. In the back a large bedroom with queen bed, and a second bedroom below with twin and double bed as well as a queen futton. Full bath with tub and shower and laundry room with washer/dryer. At the front a spacious living room with double patio doors that open out onto an extra large raised deck overlooking the bay and a fully appointed kitchen.

Lobster seaseson

Your just two minutes from Harvre Boucher a village of about two thousand inhabitants. It features a large natural harbour and warf. In May and June you can buy lobster fresh from the ocean off the boat of a local fisherman. Fresh fish is available through the summer. You’ll find fresh seafood at Aulds Cove ten minutes away anytime. Stop in at Gary’s Grocery for provisions and a taste of the hospitality Nova Scotian's are famous for.

Cottage on the shorline

Antigonish is a beautiful University town twenty five minutes to the west on the Trans Canada highway. Stroll down mainstreet and visit the shops or stop in at the mall. The University features a world class sports facility with pool and fitness center. Port Hawkesbury "the gateway to Cape Breton Island" is twenty minutes east on the Trans Canada. It also boasts a full sports facility. There you’ll find a full assortment of shopping amenities. Both have hospitals.
